Peter Skulimma was appointed Director Markets and Revenue in May 2009. Previous to this he was Chief Digital Officer and responsible for the development of Mecom’s digital and Enterprises operations. He was the former CEO of Berliner Verlag. Prior to this, he held positions as Managing Director of Germany's leading city magazine Tip and Head of Advertising Sales at Berliner Zeitung. In addition, as a co-founder of Berlin's biggest online portal Berlinonline, he has been a member of its Supervisory Board since 1996 and Chairman since 2005.
Joop Munsterman was appointed CEO of Netherlands in May 2008. He is also the chairman of the Wegener Management Board, and has worked for Wegener since 1974. After serving in a variety of managerial positions within the Wegener group, he was named director of the free door-to-door papers publisher Ooostelijke Weekbladpers in 1992. Subsequently, he was named director of De Twentsche Courant Tubantia, and in 2001 he was appointed director of Wegener Huis-aan-huiskranten Oost, the group’s door-to-door papers unit in the eastern part of the country. Joop Munsterman has been general director of Wegener Huis-aan-HuisMedia BV since 2002.
Johan Boermann has been the CEO of LMG since Mecom acquired LMG in June 2006. He has worked in the media industry for over 30 years, variously at Wegener Publishing Group, Wolters Kluwer, and as marketing director at KPN until 2002 when he joined MGL, part of LMG, as CEO. He graduated from the School of Journalism in 1975, after which he studied at the State University Utrecht. He also studied at Nyenrode. His professional career started in 1981 with the publisher Wolters Kluwer, and continued in 1991 as commercial and marketing director with KPN, where he gained broad international experience.
Lisbeth Knudsen was appointed CEO of Denmark in November 2007. She has more than 30 years of experience in print media as well as in digital media, radio and television, having held various editorial and senior commercial management positions. Lisbeth Knudsen began her career at Berlingske Tidende, subsequently becoming editor-in-chief and CEO at another newspaper group in Denmark and News Director of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. In April 2007, she returned to Berlingske Tidende as editor-in-chief, and took on additional responsibilities as Mecom’s CEO for Denmark. Lisbeth Knudsen is also chairman of the Board of the Danish School of Journalism.
Truls Velgaard was appointed CEO of Norway and Poland in October 2008 and August 2006 respectively. He started his career at Fredriksstad Blad as a journalist in 1979, and was appointed editor-in-chief and managing director of Fredriksstad Blad in 1991. Truls Velgaard joined Orkla Media in 1998 as Director for Region Ost, one of three regions within Orkla Media Norway. In August 2005, he was made Director of Sales and Marketing competence in Orkla Media, and he subsequently became CEO of Poland.
